Client: NICFA

Software Platform

NICFA is a company specialized in the installation of air diffusion and environmental parameter control systems within operating rooms. Each installation is connected to a cloud-based web application where all locally collected informations are recorded. These data are thus securely stored and viewable remotely, in compliance with best practices for security and protection of sensitive data. The main objective of the project is to provide centralized and efficient control of the operating room’s functionalities, enhancing the quality of service and facilitating interaction with the various technologies and peripherals employed.

ARSERA is proud of its collaboration with NICFA, a synergy marked by technology and progress. Our support in this project involved designing and developing a software platform composed of two main components: one installed locally within the healthcare facility, and the other on the cloud.

Developed projects

Within individual installations in operating rooms, the software interfaces the PLC with all connected peripherals, keeping data synchronized with the server. Additionally, locally, ARSERA has developed an HMI (Human Machine Interface) system characterized by its modern and user-friendly interface. The HMI allows operators to control lights, the air conditioning system, … and consult all the operating room parameters.

On the cloud side, the NICFA platform provides real-time monitoring of environmental data and a highly accurate historical record of all this information. Each of these measurements is represented through specific dashboards and graphs useful for evaluating the system’s performance over time and, more specifically, during individual surgical operations.

Back-end application

The back-end application, server-side, is bidirectionally connected to individual local installations via the MQTT protocol and is integrable with third-party external systems through API REST protected by authentication. This is where the true brain of the platform resides. The back-end, leveraging the vast amount of stored and processed data, enables the entire solution to perform complex analytical algorithms, including artificial intelligence logic.

iOS AND ANDROID APPLICATION

NICFA can remotely signal anomalies and alarms, notifying operating room managers via email or push notification messages, accessible to those who have installed the dedicated mobile application, available for iOS and Android operating systems.

At ARSERA, we firmly believe in the power of technological innovation as a driver for continuous improvement. Our collaboration with NICFA perfectly embodies this vision, demonstrating how cutting-edge solutions can transform operational environments, improve efficiency, and ensure superior service quality, especially in a field like operating rooms, which can affect us and our loved ones.
