Medical Transport
The project consists of the creation of an Android app capable of assisting ambulance drivers in managing the missions assigned to the vehicle.
This app has been developed with native technologies and has been optimized to be installed on a predefined model of tablet mounted inside the ambulance.
The graphical interface of the software has been specifically designed so that it is easy to use even while driving.
How does it work?
The App is in continuous communication with the control centre, where the dispatch of the missions takes place. A mission consists of a task entrusted to a particular ambulance, chosen according to its position and the equipment with which it is equipped.
Via the mobile app, the driver receives all the information available to retrieve patients at a given position, accompany them to their destination and assist them based on the information attached to the rescue operation.
The App also shows road information and, thanks to GPS, is able to guide the ambulance’s movements like a street navigator.
Mission Management
Each mission is managed in stages: acceptance, arrival at destination, patient recovery, … until completion, after which the ambulance becomes free to receive new assignments.
The software monitors the progress automatically by keeping track of the timing and completion or interruption of each mission.
